What is National Women's Health Week?

National Women's Health Week, initiated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health empowers women to make their health a top priority. This year's theme, "It's Your Time" encourages women to take simple steps for longer, healthier, and happier life. It's your time to take care of yourself and see your physician.

If you do not have a physician or need a referral, you can call 1-888-321-DOCS.

The North Shore LIJ Health System - Katz Women's Hospital/Women's Health Institute will lead New York in an awareness campaign promoting Women's Health Week and National Women's Checkup day (May 11).
